Dr. Nadia Stymiest and the Ladysmith Smiles team are excited to open a Nanaimo location, Nanaimo Smiles, this November 2022.
One year after announcing Ladysmith Smiles would take the place of High Street Dental at 225 High Street, I am so excited to announce we will be launching a second location. Nanaimo Smiles is now accepting new patients and will open November 2022 in a beautiful new building at 2700 Norwell Drive, Nanaimo, BC.
Before I get into the details of the Nanaimo location, I need to say thank you. Without your support over the last year, a second practice would not be possible. My goal is, and always has been, to provide exceptional and accessible dental care to the local community. By having a second location, I hope to be able to provide more convenient care for residents further north on the island. And for current Ladysmith Smiles patients who live closer to Nanaimo, this second location allows for the option to transfer to an office closer to home and improve appointment availability.
Though the name and location may differ, Nanaimo Smiles aims to offer the same fresh and friendly atmosphere you and your family have become accustomed to at our Ladysmith location. The brand new space being built at 2700 Norwell Drive Nanaimo, BC offers high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The waiting area will feature local artist’s work, comfortable seating and an area specifically designed with the kids in mind.
Nanaimo Smiles is also committed to being a greener dental office. When designing our new location, we have had the opportunity to hone in curating the newest technology that aligns with our sustainability values. While older technology often requires one-time use components, our dental office is equipped with the sterilization equipment needed to support energy-efficient methods. Along with general cleanings, pediatric dentistry, restorative and all of the staple services, Nanaimo Smiles will also provide Nitrous oxide (laughing gas), Neuromodulators (Dysport), Invisalign and iTero 3D scans.
Though the space promises to be digital-first and serene, for me, the vision for the practice is far more about the people. I feel so lucky to have such a strong team at Ladysmith Smiles, many of whom will now be splitting their time at both locations, providing you a familiar smile no matter where you come to see us.
Our team values our patients and strives to create a “dental home” that provides the best possible care–with a smile! We hope you feel the camaraderie of our diverse team each time you walk into our space. Community and compassion remains at the heart of everything we do at both Ladysmith Smiles and now, Nanaimo Smiles. We adhere to a strict all smiles welcome policy, which means a safe and respectful space for every person in our community.
